I am Louise Brockly, I am a student at Essec and I have been an apprentice for a year and a half at Commodity Trade Finance on the metals desk at Natixis CIB.

What does your work consist of?
In my daily tasks, I assist the Relationship Managers to establish robust credit facilities, support our clients and manage the daily risks inherent in the metals market.

What teachings do you draw from them?
My experience was incredible. I was able to develop key skills related to the metal market. My team was incredible too, I was able to develop skills related to this sector, active listening, collaboration within the team also very strong. And then I was able to meet professionals, experts from very varied backgrounds who are linked to this ecosystem.
A word to summarize your experience?
That would be a big thank you. A big thank you to Natixis CIB and more particularly to my team, the metals desk who allowed me to grow in such a stimulating environment. I have acquired so many qualities, I learned so much on the spot with professionals. My team around me taught me so many kind, warm things. I really had the most fun ever and it created a real passion at my place. That’s why I continue In raw materials, I had a blast and I hope and I will continue to participate in the collective success of Global Trade.
